The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors supports state and territorial public health leaders working to prevent and manage chronic disease nationwide, partnering with the CDC on cancer prevention, diabetes, and cardiovascular health programs.
This public health microsite design had to solve a structure problem: the existing Cancer Programs pages were outdated and lacked a cohesive structure, making it hard for policymakers, program staff, and community partners to understand the scope of the association’s cancer prevention work.
Built on WordPress and Elementor as a section within the association’s larger WordPress environment, the rebuild started with a full web inventory and content audit, archiving outdated pages before any new design work began. WCAG-focused accessibility and mobile-responsive design were built in from the start.
The Cancer Programs microsite now gives policymakers and partners a clear, audience-specific view of the association’s national cancer prevention leadership, built on the same WordPress and Elementor platform as the rest of its site.
