The National Association of Securities Professionals is the premier organization that helps people of color and women achieve inclusion in the financial services industry. Founded in 1985, the association is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with 11 local chapters and a membership of financial services professionals nationwide.
This member association website redesign had to fix a site that wasn’t serving the organization’s own chapters. The site lacked real functionality, connected to a MemberClicks membership platform that was difficult to navigate on its own, hosted a number of outdated and visually unappealing pages that were dragging the whole site down, and was difficult for the association’s own staff to update.
The team built the association a new site on WordPress and Elementor specifically so the association’s marketing team could manage and update it internally going forward, without depending on outside developers for routine changes. Rather than replacing MemberClicks outright, the new site was built as the front door: the primary public experience members and prospective members interact with. That front door was then connected to the existing MemberClicks platform via API, enabling single sign-on and secured, members-only areas of the public site instead of forcing members out to a separate, disconnected login. The redesign also reduced the number of webpages by cutting the ones that were unnecessary and hurting the site’s overall functionality and SEO, and added a jobs board so member companies could post financial services opportunities aimed at people of color and women in the industry.
The association now has a modern, easy-to-navigate WordPress and Elementor site that serves as the front door to its existing MemberClicks platform, with single sign-on into member-only areas and full internal control over updates.
